1. What information do we collect?

Personal information you disclose to us

We collect personal information that you provide to us voluntarily when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products, or otherwise when you contact us.

  • Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us. The personal information we collect may include email addresses (used for passwordless magic link authentication).
  • Payment Data. We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you choose to make purchases (such as a Pro subscription). All payment data is handled securely and stored by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.

Application Data

If you use our application(s), we also may collect the following information if you choose to provide us with access or permission:

  • Mobile Device Access (Microphone). We explicitly request access to your mobile device's microphone. This is strictly required to record audio notes for transcription. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device's settings.
  • Mobile Device Data. We automatically collect device information (such as your mobile device ID, model, and manufacturer), operating system, version information, and Internet Protocol (IP) address to maintain app stability and sync data.

2. How do we process your information?

We process your information to provide, improve, and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security, and to comply with law.

To facilitate account creation and authentication

We process your email address to send you secure "Magic Links" via Firebase Authentication, allowing you to log in without a password.

To process audio into formatted text

We process the audio you record through the microphone to transcribe it into text and format it based on your selected styles using advanced AI algorithms.

To ensure seamless access to your notes across devices

We process and securely store your notes (audio transcriptions, tags, and text) in our cloud database (Firebase Firestore) so you can access them across multiple devices or recover them if you reinstall the app.

3. Do we offer artificial intelligence-based products?

Yes. As part of our core Services, we offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning (collectively, "AI Products").

Use of AI Technologies

We provide the AI Products through secure third-party service providers ("AI Service Providers"), specifically OpenAI and Google Cloud (Gemini).

🔒How We Process Your Data Using AI

Audio Transcription:The audio you record is securely sent to OpenAI's Whisper/GPT-4o APIs strictly for the purpose of converting your speech to text.

Once the transcription is complete, the original audio file is immediately and permanently deleted from your device and our servers. We do not store your voice recordings.

Data Protection with AI

Your input (audio and text) is shared with these AI Service Providers solely to enable your use of our app. We ensure that our API agreements with these providers prohibit them from using your personal audio or notes to train their public AI models.

4. When and with whom do we share your personal information?

We may share information in specific situations described in this section and/or with the following third parties:

Vendors, Consultants, and Other Third-Party Service Providers. We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf. We have contracts in place with these third parties designed to safeguard your personal information.

The third parties we may share personal information with include:

  • AI Service Providers: OpenAI, Google (Gemini API)
  • Cloud Computing & Database: Google Cloud Platform, Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Functions)
  • User Authentication: Firebase Authentication
  • Subscription Management: RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play Store
  • App Analytics & Crash Reporting: Firebase Crashlytics

Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

6. How long do we keep your information?

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

When you delete your account or when we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will permanently delete or anonymize your information (including your stored notes and tags).

7. How do we keep your information safe?

We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures. Your notes and data are stored in secure, encrypted cloud databases (Google Firebase). However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

8. Do we collect information from minors?

We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18 or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to such minor dependent’s use of the Services.

9. What are your privacy rights?

Depending on your state of residence in the US or in some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), Switzerland, and Canada, you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information.

These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure; (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information; and (iv) if applicable, to data portability.

Account Information & Deletion

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can do so directly within the App's settings menu (by clicking "Delete Account") or by contacting us using the contact information provided below. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will permanently delete your account and your associated notes from our active databases.

10. Do United States residents have specific privacy rights?

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, or other states with comprehensive privacy laws, you may have the right to request access to and receive details about the personal information we maintain about you, correct inaccuracies, get a copy of, or delete your personal information.

We do not "sell" your personal information. Your data is only shared with service providers (like OpenAI or Firebase) strictly to deliver the App's functionality to you.
